Reverend
Dr. Frank Lewis
Frank
Lewis was born in Millen of Jenkins County, Georgia. He received
his early education from Herndon Birdsville Elementary School
and is a graduate of Burgess Landrum High School. After high school
Frank was employed by Rich’s Department Stores, Inc. He rose up
through the ranks to Manager’s position where he enjoyed a successful
career in excess of 19 years.
God chose
Frank Lewis as a teenager to preach His gospel. Frank displayed
his obedience to Gods call by preaching his initial sermon on
the third Sunday, January 1969. Frank walked the academic pathway
of preparation and achieved a BA degree in 1973 from Carver Bible
College and earned a Masters degree in Christian Education from
Emanuel Baptist Seminary, Atlanta. A Doctorate of Theology was
accomplished at Gwinnett Hall Baptist College, Lawrenceville,
Georgia,where he served as a faculty member and shared God’s gift
of teaching.
Zion Missionary
Baptist Church extended the pastoral call in the spring of 1983.
Prior to becoming Zion’s spiritual leader, Frank’s initial pastorate
was at Friendship Baptist Church, Duluth, Georgia, from August
1975 to February 1983. He also served as Interim Pastor at Greater
Sialome Baptist Church, Harris City, Georgia, for a brief period
of time.
Frank and
Mamie united in holy matrimony on May 13, 1972. They are the loving
parents of one son, Aubrey.
Reverend
Dr. Frank Lewis is active in the Grove Way Community Group, North
Fulton Community Charities and North Fulton Child Development
Association. He is a pastor, teacher, an administrator, planner,
trainer, counselor and friend. He has a very special place in
his heart for all children.
